It's been a long time ago since I updated this page.
After The ORC Double-Handed World Championship I worked two months before we had a great holiday in New Zealand. Just a month later we flew to the Canaries for The World's Toughest Row. I recently designed two rowing boats and we do the routing for several teams every year.
Although this all takes time, most of my time is still spend on new designs.

Design No 533
No 533 will be a classic yacht based on hull design No 514 but extended to 15 m.
The owner intents to live on her. This month the build will start at Koopmans Kasko's in Sneek.
Design 526-523
No 526-523 is under construction at LUYT in Den Oever within 10 minutes walking distance from my office.
After the hull is ready she will be transported to Loedeman Jachtbouw in Elburg.
Design No 531
A Jager build at Paul Dykstra Composites. It is a combination of the traditional Victoire deck lay out combined with a modern hull and keel. After Paul has made the hull she will be shipped to Loedeman Jachtbouw in Elburg.
Design No 523
This boat was launched at Koopmans Kasko's and sailed on her own keel to SuperNova in Harlingen were she will be finished. This was done with two electric engines and two autoprops. The owner reported that despite the generator was not completely installed, she could easily make the 40 nm on the battery pack.
Design No 532
The aluminium work is nearly ready. Then she will be shipped to the owner who will do the finish himself.

Design 534

The World's Toughest Row 2024
The World's Toughest Row 2024 started 11 December in La Gomera.
No 5, below, is a D34 designed by me.
2 D12 solo boats. As you can see they have a long waterline while there is very little weight in the front. This gives a low inertia so the bow will cut through the waves more easily.
