The World's Toughest Row

For the Toughest Row Atlantic I did the survey of the boats for several teams. In December we will be on La Gomera. This year we will route 8 teams.

Pacific World Record !

The McLean brothers set a new world record. With the D34 of my design, it took them 139 days 7 hours and 7 minutes to row the Pacific from South America to Australia!

Design No 536

I am working on a sporty 10 m sailboat with deck saloon. The first lines and sketches are made.

She will get an aluminium hull with composite deck

Refits

Now and then I do refits or I give advice. Last months I inspected a Grand Soleil and a Southerly for repair.

Lelystad Regatta and 200 Myls Solo

In September I sailed two regatta's.

In the Lelystad regatta I was the only solo and was put in the duo class.

Till the last mark I sailed in third position but the autopilot stopped and I was unable to set the spinaker in 20 knots of wind so I ended up in the middle of the fleet.

In the 200 Myls solo, in the middle of the night, I fell with my back on the tiller. The tiller broke so I stopped for repairs. I missed the good winds and finished 6th on line honours and 23th on handicap in a group of 100 boats.
